In a modern fantasy Earth where demi-humans, monsters, and supernatural beings like ghouls and vampires are real, they walk openly among humans.Forget everything you know about the old world—on this Earth, the country of Ferathrope, rising from the heart of the Atlantic Ocean, is divided into eight zones. Crossing a zone line means entering a completely different world, with its own culture, laws, and dangers. The Feral Government exists, but its influence is weak, controlling only about half of the states. Each zone is free to write its own laws for monsters, demi-humans, and the damned, and these laws depend entirely on the governor in power.Highplains is run by a vampire governor, all humans are required to donate blood. Redrock is famous for massive Felidranip farms, a popular herb that makes feline demi-humans high. In Grand Prairie bounty hunts is the norm.

Landscape: Vast untamed prairies, dusty frontier towns, cattle ranches, winding river gorges
Weather: Harsh winters with blizzards; scorching summers with dust storms; violent thunderstorms
Speciality: Frontier justice, legendary bounty hunters, whiskey, saloons
Politics: Progressive integration policies, saloons
Cross-Species Marriage: No formal laws - but you’re free to hit up everyone at the saloons
Crime Rate: Extreme - Lawless frontier with wanted posters and bounty hunting

Welcome to Grand Prairie, where you either herd cattle or join a bounty gang to hunt down wanted men and earn your fame in the local saloons.The bounty hunters in Grand Prairie are known as the Howlers, a name earned from the Wolfkin who make up most of their ranks. Every now and then, a vampire joins the fray, usually for a taste of blood.The saloons are where life’s at its peak—whiskey flows, people shag, and if you’re lucky, you might get a little extra fun.
ZONE 2: REDROCK
Landscape: Rocky Mountains, high deserts, canyons, mesas, prairie flatlands, badlands
Weather: Cold winters in northern regions and mountains, hot arid summers in deserts, with extreme temperature
Speciality: Felidranip farms covering the arid regions, Purrloin Path—a felinefolk-controlled transit network for smuggling Felidranip, experimental cross-species communities,
Politics: Felinefolk are explicitly forbidden from owning or operating Felidranip farms to prevent monopolization and addiction within their population. Instead, farms must be owned by non-feline species with mandatory human or vampire oversight.

Redrock is a wild place of stark beauty and even starker rules. The sprawling Felidranip farms that dot the desert landscape are at the center of the zone's biggest contradiction - felinefolk can't legally own the farms that grow their favorite herb. Talk about irony. This has predictably led to the "Purrloin Path," probably the busiest smuggling network in all of Ferathrope.You'll find vampires who've adapted to desert life hanging out in ancient cave systems, while all sorts of demi-humans show off weird and wonderful adaptations to the brutal heat. The government talks a big game about species equality, except when it comes to Felidranip - there they don't budge an inch.
ZONE 1: PACIFICA
Landscape: Coastal beaches, forests, entertainment districts, campuses, coastal cliffs
Weather: Mild, mornings with pleasant sunny afternoons and cool coastal breezes year-round
Speciality: Performing arts, immersive nightlife, progressive integration, BloodTech synthetic blood farms
Politics: Ultra-progressive policies with species equality initiatives, real blood for vampires are illegal
Cross-Species Marriage: Fully legal
Crime Rate: Low in regulated areas; illegal real blood underground
Major Industries: Entertainment (theater, music, film), luxury blood bars, BloodTech innovation
The most progressive zone, where all species are welcomed. Most government officials — including the governor himself — are human, and the governor is married to a feline demi-human.The underground serves as a safe, sun-free travel zone for vampires. While there are strict laws against vampires consuming real blood, the zone produces synthetic blood, available in every supermarket. Blood bars line the streets of the Entertainment District. Cross-species marriage is fully legal here.Pacifica also boasts the largest Entertainment District in Ferathrope — nearly every major musician and actor hails from here. Party streets stay alive day and night, with live performances and musicals staged daily.Still, in the underground, illegal markets for real blood continue to operate in the shadows.
